The Bharatiya Janata Party organised a dignified reception, at Lajpat Nargar, in New Delhi,on August 10 last, to honour migrant Kashmiris. The function was organised by social activist
Akhlish Chandra Shukla. The programme comprised exchange of ideas and the message of brotherhood. The Chief Guest of the function, BJP M. P. from Delhi, Manoj Tiwari, presented shawls to Kashmiri migrants. He embraced them and offered them sweets. Addressing the assembled migrants, Shri Tiwari said that several decades, after Dr. Syama
Prasad Mukherjee sacrificed his life, Sarvashri Narendra Modi and Amit Shah brought the movement, started by Dr. Mukherjee, to a decent climax. The latest changes will provide peace
to the thousands of persons who sacrificed their lives for defending Kashmir and faced terrorism. He added it was a dream of Dr. Mukherjee and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel that India should become one united nation. BJP had vowed to remove Articles 370 and 35-A. Now, by removing these obstacles, both the dreams seem to have concreted.Shri Tiwari added that arrangements will be made for providing many beneficial facilities to the residents of J&K. These include earning venues for the young people, free medical treatment for the elderly, restoration of normal rights for the daughters and respect for the women.
He expressed hope that now the Kashmiri migrants, who have been suffering from the pains of exile for decades, will be provided opportunity to return to their homeland and
opportunities of earning. In such atmosphere, no Kashmiri young man will like to hurl stones on the army of his own country.
